Best known for his work as the villainous Dr. Kananga in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=james+bond&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">James Bond<\/a> film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=live+and+let+die&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Live and Let Die<\/a><\/em> and as space engineer Parker in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=alien&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Alien<\/a><\/em>, Kotto had legions of fans across the globe. Born in New York City, he tasted early fame on Broadway before transitioning into movies and, later, television. Among the other renowned performances he leaves behind is a scenery-chewing performance in 1987&#8217;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/running-man-1987-the-running-man\/887090054409\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The Running Man<\/a><\/em> and his acclaimed role as Lt. Al Giardello in the groundbreaking crime drama <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/homicide-life-on-the-street-complete-series-homicide-life-on-the-street-the-complete-series\/826663177435\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Homicide: Life on the Street<\/a><\/em>.
