Six Pix presents a sextet of movie posters representing a particular actor/director/genre. You pick the one you feel is visually the most artistic or best sums up the film.

Which of these Six Pix is your, uh…type?

"Type"

Included are: Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969); Zelig (1983); Dancer in the Dark (2000); The Invasion (2007); Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (2011); and Men in Black 3 (2012).

It’s hard to design a movie poster using absolutely no images or icons; just typefaces. Of course, the designers can manipulate the letters to create an image, as they have in the Men in Black and Tinker posters. Other than those two the rest simply rely on typography to tell the story. I prefer Men to Tinker so let’s put that in my top 3. I do like Dancer as well. And to round out the top trio I’ll choose Zelig. Though I’m impressed with the inventiveness of the Men in Black 3 design I truly love the simplicity of Dancer in the Dark. The clever eye chart subtly imparts the notion of a person—the Dancer—losing their eyesight. It’s letter perfect.

Which one do you think is the winner? Should I have included something else? Tell me about it below!
