Six Pix presents a sextet of movie posters representing a particular actor/director/genre/theme. You pick the one you feel is visually the most artistic or best sums up the topic.
We’re roughly one week into the new year, and around much of the country it certainly feels like winter. In fact, it was 30 years ago this week that MovieFanFare’s hometown of Philadelphia was buried under a 30-inch snowfall. All this makes it the perfect time of year to settle in at home, pop a big bowl of popcorn, curl up under a favorite blanket or two, and watch movies with frosty, icy, and otherwise cold-weather themes. Six Pix is happy to start the (snow)ball rolling with posters from six frigid flicks.

I don’t know about you, but I’m geting chills just looking at them. Whether your wintertime taste runs towards wholesome Disney fare (Frozen), cautionary climate change thrills (The Day After Tomorrow), a bizarre shocker set in an Arctic wildlife refuge (The Last Winter), or a twisted tale of abduction in the Minnesota wild (Dead of Winter), there’s something for everyone…especially those of us who enjoy “ski-honeys.”
And here’s where we ask for your help in choosing the winning winter selection. Which of these films do you think best embodies the feelings of the season to you, or is the title you most associate with the season (there’s really not much snow in The Lion in Winter) not included? Either way, tell us about it the comments.
