Released earlier this year, Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 featured the action and fun that fans of the turbocharged franchise came to expect. But it also showcased a heavy emotional weight that made it the most surprising entry in the series to date. This time around, veteran race car Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) finds himself at a crossroads. Although he still yearns for competition and glory on the raceway, he realizes that he is getting older and that his racing days are limited. Furthering his ennui is the fact that up-and-coming opponents like the egotistical — yet very skilled — Jackson Storm (Armie Harmer) are waiting in the wings to dethrone him. When he is involved in a crash that nearly ends his life and career, Lightning reignites the fire in his heart and becomes determined to win one more time. Having to relearn everything he once knew with the help of kindly technician Cruz Ramirez (Cristina Alonzo), he strives to take another victory lap. Featuring the voices of Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, and Chris Cooper, Cars 3 will hit Blu-ray and DVD on November 7th. Believe me when I say that this one will ride its way into your hearts, as it is the most ambitious Cars film yet!
