When it was released in 1996, Scream was a horror sensation thanks to an inventive blend of self-awareness, laughs and thrills. The Wes Craven-directed effort follows a group of teenage horror film fans in a small California town who are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious murderer. Newscaster Courteney Cox thinks this killer also slayed Neve Campbell‘s mother the year before, even though the supposed killer is behind bars. Or is he? Skeet Ulrich, David Arquette, and Drew Barrymore co-starred in the film, which spawned three sequels and a television series.
Given what a success the franchise was, it was inevitable that the saga’s iconic Ghostface character would live on through merchandising. My favorite piece of which is the above Funko POP! vinyl toy that makes him an unforgettable addition to your office or home. The masked villain looks true to form with his eerie mask and the bloodied knife in his hand. When you see just how cool the 3 3/4-inch tall Scream Ghostface Pop! Vinyl Figure looks you’ll want to collect the rest in the horror movie line from Funko!
