In the early 1990s, Twin Peaks was everywhere. The show had captured the pop culture zeitgeist and became such a phenomenon that cash-ins on the franchise were inevitable. And so, tie-in books (including the excellent Twin Peaks Tapes of Agent Cooper audiobook) hit the market along with other pieces of merchandise. But the most interesting bit of Twin Peaks marketing came to us courtesy of Japan, who enlisted the help of David Lynch to direct four commercials for Georgia canned coffee. Each of these ads features cast members from the show and tells a coherent story, making these spots a kind of weirdo lost season of the program. Here they are:
