The performances are grand. The best showcase in this film is for Sterling Holloway, known mainly for Disney features,where he's in a scene singing "The End OF A Perfect Day" with Stanwyck's accompaniment. In this film, Preston Sturges gives us his usual brand of cynicism wrapped up with sentiment and gentle humor Great for the whole family. Very subtle and expert performances by all.
