As a child of the 70's, my Saturday afternoons consisted of plastering myself in front of the TV watching Dr. Shock. Thanks to him my somewhat guilty pleasure of becoming a horror/B-movie collector exist today. I love nostalgia and Dr. Shock is in my top 10 of things from my childhood. Sometime ago a Googled him, looking for any video available and found a "Tribute To Dr. Shock" DVD (Produced in "79 after his death)and a music CD, "Monster Mash With Dr. Shock". The "Tribute" DVD is a collection a clips honoring "The Doc" throughout his life and TV career. The CD is cool. He sings his version of "Monster Mash" and other novel songs. Here are the links if your interested.

Sorry to have left out the how-to info, Zontar! The book's published by Michael Enoches. If you Google the title and author, you'll find some ordering options easily enough!

I remember Roland from his beginning.
At one point he introduced his wife(MY DEAR)who was composed of some gelatinous material in a coffin.
He regularly mistreated "her" in her coffin but the violence was covered up by the TV cameras so that viewers were exposed only to her screeching. A very funny bit, frequently repeated....lots of fun at the time.

Born in 1959, and living in the Philly area until I joined the Navy in 1977, I certainly remember "Dr. Shock". He was a hoot - very tongue-in-cheek, almost foreshadowing of Mystery Science Theatre decades later. Thanks for the trip down nostalgia lane.
