All Through The Night(1942)Humphrey Bogart and William Demarest are at the ball game, but are called away by Gloves(Bogie)mom(Jane Darwell)to try to find her friend(Ludwig Stosell)the neighborhood baker, when he refuses to work for Nazi Hoods(Peter Lorre and Conrad Veidt)

Pardon My Sarong(1942)Abbott and Costello comedy.
Two wiseguys pull a trick on a gas station owner(Irving Bacon)telling him about a ballgame then making him forget about the bill.
Bud and Lou pull up and try the same trick. The owner reaches for a baseball bat not wanting to be robbed again.
Very Funny Scene.

What's so great about Babe Ruth's extended cameo in Speedy is we get to see the Babe pretty much as he was in real life. That is, in 1928 when the movie was released Babe was not only playing ball for the Yankees, he was at the top of his game then. It also despells the myth that he was perpetually overweight even during his playing days which clearly is not evident in this movie. Great scenes, Great movie, Great fun!

NOTE: If you visit Cooperstown, check out the ticket kiosk at the top of the stairs on the third floor of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. It is one of the same ones dipicted in front of Yankee Stadium when Speedy and the Babe arrive there by taxi.

Just a point of information. In Ferris Bueller's Day Off, the restaurant scene was actually shot in Chez Paul, at the time a very popular Chicago icon, located in a historic brownstone building on Rush Street.
