Did you ever hear of James Dean in anything he did? How about Marlon Brando in The Wild One? To put shallow Curt Russell, aka Snake, who could not act his way out of a paper bag regardless of how much makeup and props he has on, on the list of candidates and exclude Brando and Dean reflects on you, not those actors.
Robert Mitchum in Thunder Road?
Steve McQueen in just about anything he did?

Ron Moody as Fagin in Oliver! When someone is this evil and you can't help loving him anyway (and not because you'd like to be like him or bed him -- that´s cool.
