My favorite is Burt Lancaster, who as a 55 yr old going on 30, did his own scenes in &quot;The Swimmer.&quot; His director in the &quot;Train&quot;said that what was so remarkable about him was his natural athletic ability. He did the scene sliding down the ladder from the station control tower in one shot! Who can forget his slicing down a sail in the &quot;Crimson Pirate&quot; or his horizontal bar routine across a castle in &quot;The Flame and the Arrow?&quot; Mr. Lancaster was the real thing.</description>
