How about Meatloaf in the Rocky Horrow Picture Show?
There's little doubt Bjork gave the best acting performance on this list unfortunately in was in "Dancer In The Dark", a film I detest for its emotional sadism.

What happened to Rick Springfield and the movies, and TV shows, he was in!!!?
Steve Vai - don't remember the name of the movie, but it had the guy (Machiado?) who was in those aisan movies doing judo or whatever? He meets an old guy who teaches him the blues, and it is the old "FAUST" story...he (not really him playing) goes up against electric guitar player STEVE VAI (from DL Roth's 1st/best solo band)in a "guitar war" to get his soul back and wins...good playing I have seen in a MOVIE - not counting videos, of course.
