The court room scences in "To Kill A Mockingbrd" were academy award winning. I suppose that is why Gregory Peck won the oscar.

What? Kramer vs Kramer was left out? Meryl Streep earned her Academy Award in that custody hearing scene. Also among the missing are Adam's Rib, Young Mr. Lincoln, and The Awful Truth. More thought needs to go into these polls. Bah!

I once read that Anatomy of a Murder is the only Hollywood movie actually shown in law school classes as a teaching aid for defense attorneys. George C. Scott as the prosecutor certainly demonstrates in the film the correctness of the old lawyers' adage, "Never ask a question to which you don't already know the answer." In trying to discredit a witness as a jealous lover, he enhances her creditibility when she replies that her relationship with the dead man was that of father and daughter. It's not only the most realistic trial film but the most entertaining.

While not actually in the courtroom. One of the best court-based movies of all time. 12 Angry Men.
