Monster Mashups! MovieFrightFare

Why have just one monster when you can have two? And why stop there? Why not check the box for a third creature? Fit in a fourth freaky fiend...now you've really got something! Whether we're talking about a one-on-one battle or a tag team smackdown--or even those rare occasions when frighteners team up to face a common foe--Monster Mashups in the movies have always been popular, especially when they include such chiller combatants as Dracula, the Frankenstein Monster, King Kong,  GozdillaFreddy Krueger, or the one and only Mega Shark!

Ghouly Irv now throws his hat (and the rest of himself) into the ring for this rundown of "monster vs. monster" movies:

OK, monster mavens...now that you've seen the Ghouly One's rundown of dread-packed duke-'em-outs, it's your turn: What monster vs. monster battle should we see on the screen next? Jigsaw vs. The Scorpion King? The Blair Witch vs. The Human Centipede? The Blob vs. Charlie Sheen?

you know, thinking of Freddy vs. Jason, i've recently realized that Jason would have lost if it wasn't for those kids. Freddy had him crawling away from him and the only reason we didn't see a dead Jasn was the kids helping out the crystal lake killer. Also, it's missing Ash from Evil Dead, who was in the comic book.

I love the Japanese Godzilla films. They're supremely entertaining because of their total lack of reality and logic (and of course, decent special effects). F'instance: if one simply accepts the scenario at face value, no one should worry about developing a missile that could penetrate Godzilla's hide. You should build a ridiculously gigantic and undoubtedly expensive robot replica of Godzilla! Then, engage in combat with the great lizard that will undoubtedly result in tremendous destruction! And if Mothra, Rodan, Ghidora, Manda, etc., etc., etc., are thrown into the mix, well... You've got one extremely silly but wildly entertaining battle royale! But there is one question that has long bounced around my skull. How are the stunt men able to breathe inside those heavily padded costumes?!

    For Kaiju fan

When fiming godzilla movies, most scenes with the monsters were filmed in 5-10 minute bursts to keep the actor from overeating. After each part was filmed, about five cups of sweat were emptied from the suit.
