A few years ago an Italian TV-Channel programmed some instalments of a wonderful U.S. Western TV-series. Really wonderful. Then, all of a sudden, they discontinued it (ignoring all my protests). I could have killed them.

At that time I didn't bother to take note of any element to identify that TV-series. Not a title, nor the name of some starring actors, or so. I can simply tell you that it was really wonderful, fantastically performed, totally different from anything ever seen about the New Frontier saga.

Incredibly crude, rude, realistic. Certainly not edulcorated, vanilla light-handed or fable-like as a “spaghetti Western”, or so. A crude historic reconstruction of violent gold-diggers, saloon and brothel managers, drugs addicts, mean and corrupted public officers, all sort of violent and primitive settlers, giving rise to a new-frontier town probably bent to become prosperous and respectable with time.

Well, I'm aware that I'm not giving you sound details, but it was such a high level, outstanding work that it couldn't possibly have run unnoticed by professionals as you certainly are.
