Why, oh why, oh why does no one ever think of releasing 1963's Oscar-nominated film by Elia Kazan "America, America"? He always said it was not necessarily his best film; but it was his favorite...one of mine as well. Someone please release this on DVD.

Diary, one of the landmark films of the films of the era, is being held by Universal for soem reason, but they have been licensing soem movie sof late, so this is a prime candidate to come out from another company. Peter Proud, a popular reincarnation tale during its time, is tied up in different licensing complications. Beleiv eit or not, Bing Crosby Productions produced the film.

I would like to see "Diary of a Mad Housewife" on DVD. I thought that when Carrie Snodgress passed away it may be finally released. Another film I remember seeing in the 70's was "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud" with Michael Sarrazin. There are so many films from my teenage movie going days that I would love to own on DVD.

what an interesting movie you ask about especially with the recent focus of Haiti on the news. the film is owned by Fox, and, sadly,the company has been really slow of late to put out older films on DVD. A recent call to someone in the know there yields just what we suspected: No date in the near future for this film in which Dale Robertson plays a lwyer who heads to war-torn Haiti to find a woman whose estate has to be settled. I'm surprised that The Reckoning (1971) is not available. This film has a refreshing plot (perhaps typical for early 70s), and Nicol Williamson is terrific. Might it become available?

Love American Style has been released on DVD. I bought Season One, Volume one, but have not looked to see if other volumes are out. I believe I got this at Sam's Club or BJ's. in the spring. Try looking it up on Amazon.com too.
