    Clark Gable was the KING!

Not a great actor, but a great type with good voice.

I loved his eyes and smile. Where are his alike?

  • JIM RICK

HE IS STAMPED IN MY MIND AS ONE OF A KIND….A GREAT ACTOR SHINES THRU ALL KINDS OF MATERIAL, AND CLARK ALWAYS DID, ALONG WITH SUCH PERSONALITIES AS SPENCER TRACY, KATIE HEPBURN, ETC.

Happy Birthdy to my favorite actor Clark Gable! He will always be my number one favorite of all time! Even though he’s gone he is not forgotten!

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CLARK GABLE MOVIE WAS 1953s “ACROSS THE WIDE MISSOURI.” THE ACTING, ON EVERYONE’S PART WAS SO AUTHENTIC AND THE VISTAS OF THE LOCATIONS WERE MONUMENTAL AND FANTASTIC. MY FAVORITE SCENE IS WHERE HE FIRED HIS RAM ROD AT AN INDIAN BECAUSE HE DIDN’T HAVE TIME TO LOAD A BALL. GOT HIM TOO. THE NATIVE AMERICANS, IN THIS FILM, WERE TRULY BELIEVABLE.

  • Tito Pannaggi

His two best films were “Gone withe the Wind” and “It Happened One Night”.

Being young in the fifties I enjoyed “Betrayed (1954) with Victore Mature (the Sylvester Stallone of the fifties)and “Soldier of Fortune” (1955) with Susan Hayward, (Do not mention Bette Davis, she only could play the spoiled women – I hate spoiled women) the best female actor of Hollywood!

In 1968 GONE WITH THE WIND was re-released. I’d never seen it, I was a teenager. I remember sitting in the theater, and when we get that first close-up of Rhett at the bottom of the stairway at Twelve Oaks you could hear the ‘gasps’ from women all over the theater. I was in love in that second. Have loved him ever since.

You are not the only one, I have adored him since I was 7 and cried when I found out he had died
      several years previously.

  • Bill Southworth

There many movies I enjoyed Clark Gable in. I have one I recorded to DVD made in 1931 with Wallce Beery titled “HELLDIVERS”. Had some great shots of the old Saratoga (CV-3) including an actual footage of mooring the Dirigable Los Angles.

If Clark Gable had 6 kids, he would have lived in the house of the seven Gables!

Clark Gable was another great star born in Ohio (Cadiz). To say he wasn’t a great actor is just plain dumb!! It Happened One Night was beyond great and there are SOOOO many others. I know we have a right to our opinions but some people just P— Me Off!
