Famed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola turns 87 on Tuesday, April 7 this year. The Academy Award-winning writer/director/producer (and noted winemaker) is undoubtedly best known for being the creative force behind the Godfather series. Beyond his genre-defining Mafia saga, however, Coppola has entertained, challenged, and amazed audiences for over 60 years with pictures ranging from Gothic horror and a Vietnam War epic to lavish musicals and powerful coming-of-age dramas.
