Well, now that we’ve all opened our 2026 planners and calendars, MovieFanFare wants to take a final lingering look at the year gone by. Specifically, we’re remembering the 2025 films that had folks heading the their local theaters…or, in increasing numbers, checking out on streaming services. From the newest incarnation of the Man of Steel and a final showdown in the land of Oz to a tale of black ’20s gangsters versus vampires and the true story of an escaped con living inside a toy store, there was something for every taste. We’ve compiled a list of 20 titles from the past 12 months that were popular and/or critical successes, and today we’re asking you to vote for which one leads off your annual “Best Of” list.
